Mike Harding presents an hour of the very best in folk, roots and acoustic music including an interview with the Canadian Celtic singer Loreena McKennitt.

A singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist, Loreena has sold more than 14 million records worldwide since releasing her debut, Elemental in 1985.

The self-managed and self-produced star, who is known for her epic and dramatic treatments of Celtic, Middle Eastern and European music, tells Mike about her latest album The Wind That Shakes the Barley.

The new album, Loreena's ninth studio LP, sees her return to her musical roots and focus exclusively on songs from the Celtic tradition, including As I Roved Out, On a Bright May Morning, and The Star of the County Down.

Speaking from Toronto, she talks to Mike about her remarkable career and the huge contribution she has made in bringing Celtic music to a mass audience.
