It's Half-Time Hooter time on The Best Time of the Day Show with Alex which means even more stupidity and top tunes to take you through the night. Album and Record of the Week also.

It's Wednesday which means it is time for the first Half-Time Hooter of the Week; even more inspired daftness and brilliant music from the Dark Lord himself, Alex Lester. Alex is still taking suggestions on how he can get producer Dr Strangelove into the spirit of the season, which is even more of a crisis now he has a stinking cold. We are still comparing those inappropriate gifts we have received over the years and, new for today, if mistletoe gets you a free kiss, what can a cucumber or a bog roll get you? There's another appearance from Noel the Christmas Badger, more seasonal cheer gone horribly wrong in Antler Watch, and Panto Lotto. Pause for Thought at 3.20am with Steve Williams, and step into the (s)limelight in the 4.15 One-Off Canteen. All of this, plus the first Half-Time Hooter of the Week.
Lester's Festive Library offerings this morning come from Aimee Mann, London Community Gospel Choir and some 1940s novelty from Yogi Yorgeson. Your choices from the Listener's Library this morning come from Captain Sensible, Glasvegas and Faith Hill. There is another track from Album of the Week by Susan Boyle, and Record of the Week from new artist, Edei.
