For over three generations P and C Morris had been supplying quality food and ingredients to Scotland's top hotels and restaurants. They were a influential and successful business with a turnover of millions. As such they were encouraged to grow and develop with big loans and investment from the banks. But when the economy started to slump, support from the banks became more and more elusive and at the start of February 2009 the business ceased being able to trade. Two weeks later P and C Morris called in the administrators - after 40 years of trading.
This is the story of what happened next. With no income and huge personal guarantees hanging over their heads, the family needed a new way of making a living to survive. So they decided to set up a poultry farm. Through the eyes of 11-year-old Joshua Morris, follow the family working around the clock, building sheds, receiving their first batch of chicks, and trying desperately to keep the wolves from the door.
