Bill Kenwright leaves his theatrical impresario hat at home to present a new show about the smash hits he grew up with in the 50s and 60s and still loves dearly.

Bill Kenwright picks his favourite records from his Golden Years. When might that be, you ask? Well, it's from 1956 to 1963 or, if you prefer, from Bill Haley to the Beatles. (Roughly). It's the music Bill grew up with as a young lad in Liverpool. The music he fell in love with then, and is still passionate about today.

This week, Bill picks out a '20 Second Number One' (a song he knew would hit the top spot from the opening 20 seconds alone) and plays one of his Favourite B-Sides. He'll also be launching his campaign to get British rock 'n' rollers recognised for songs he thinks they sang better than their American peers in 'We Did It Better'.

In between indulging his teenage romantic yearnings (look out for a classic from Ricky Nelson), Bill will also share some cracking Kenwright yarns, including the time he met Buddy Holly (yes, THE Buddy Holly).

The less said about the Producer's Mystery Record, the better.
