Shinty: MacTavish Cup Final

Kingussie of the Premier League take on Kilmallie of the North Division One in the final of the MacTavish Cup at the Bught Park, Inverness. Presented by Alison Walker.

Kingussie of the Premier League take on Kilmallie of the North Division One in the final of the MacTavish Cup at the Bught Park, Inverness.

Mighty Kingussie have won the trophy 26 times since it was first played for in 1898, but last year they were shocked by Newtonmore who came from behind to score twice in the dying seconds to beat them. Revenge for Kingussie came in the form of a quarter-final victory over Newtonmore this time around. John Ross will be leading from the front as usual.

Kilmallie lost the 2005 Camanachd Cup final to Fort William, their only cup final appearance in decades, but their path to this MacTavish final included a memorable 4-3 win over Fort William in the semi-final. Their hopes largely rest with captain John Stewart, a Scotland international with plenty of big game experience behind him.

Presented by Alison Walker, with commentary and analysis from Hugh Dan MacLennan, Fraser Inglis and Gary Innes.
