In 1966 John Ridgway along with Chay Blyth ignored all warnings and set out to row The Atlantic. Others drowned trying, but they lived to tell the tale. This was just the start of a 46 year ocean odyssey for John who went on to circumnavigate the world three times and embark on countless voyages from his home in The Highlands - sailing over the horizon wherever the wind took him. Karen Darke talks to John Ridgway about his life on the ocean and his debilitating sea-sickness.
