Pen Hadow became a household name in 2003 when he reached The North Pole, unaided from Canada. To the watching world it was a great achievement. For Pen it was just the start of what he describes as a social responsibility to conserve the sea ice. The ice had kept him alive, now it was his job to tell the world about the changes to the sea ice and try to keep it alive.
