Conservationists are calling for greater legal protection against "creeping industrialisation". The John Muir Trust says landscapes unaffected by development are dwindling with schemes like the upgrade of the Beauly to Denny power line. So are power lines, windfarms, new roads and greenbelt housing destroying our natural beauty? Or are they vital to Scotland's economy?
