Sue Barker presents coverage of the second day of the National Championships from the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham. With the Olympics now less than a month away, the meeting is also doubling as the trials for the British team. Events include the men's and women's 100m.
The presence of Dwain Chambers in the men's 100m is likely to dominate proceedings. The sprinter, who has served a two-year drugs suspension, is hoping to force the British Olympic Association to overturn its ban on him competing in Beijing and a good result here could set his High Court appeal in motion. Among those he is likely to face in Birmingham is Tyrone Edgar, who has been clocking some impressive times this year, while Craig Pickering will be hoping to get some racing under his belt after suffering a hamstring injury that ruled him out of last month's European Cup.
With commentary from Steve Cram, Paul Dickenson and Jonathan Edwards.
