As awareness of producing your own healthy food grows, the sales of veg seed have finally overtaken sales of flower seed. The evergreen Jim McColl continues the crusade.

Scotland's favourite gardening programme. As awareness of producing your own healthy food grows, the sales of veg seed have finally overtaken sales of flower seed. The evergreen Jim McColl continues the crusade by planting out courgettes and French Beans in The Beechgrove Garden. Carole starts the next chapter of re-vamping the calendar border and starts to plan out her top plants for all seasons. Carolyn is back in the garden and is planting up her New Trends Garden, which she has designed as a small, contemporary, low maintenance garden with a busy working couple in mind. Lesley revisits two of the community gardens that were completed in 2005. She pops in past the Scottish Mining Museum's garden at Newtongrange and also to Edinburgh's Western General Hospital garden to see how both have fared, grown and have been used over the last few years.
