Drama about the girl who believed she had a holy mission to lead France to victory over the English. Though initially welcomed by the Dauphin, she was executed for heresy in 1431.
Biographical drama about the 15th-century French heroine. Joan of Arc's small village suffered English persecution during her childhood. As a devout teenager, she had visions which led her to believe that she had a holy mission to lead her country to victory. In his desperate military situation, the Dauphin initially welcomed Joan, but when no longer needed, she was tried for heresy and burned alive.
