The story of 15th-century French heroine Joan of Arc, a young farm girl who heard voices telling her to lead an army against the English occupying forces and crown the dauphin king of France. But Joan was tragically betrayed, and subsequently burnt at the stake. Based on the play by George Bernard Shaw and scripted by Graham Greene.
