Absorbing drama about a gay bus conductor in 1960s Dublin who encounters persecution when he decides to stage an amateur production of Oscar Wilde's banned drama Salome. The conductor, who gives free poetry recitations to his passengers, is inspired to put on the play when he meets a beautiful country girl who he feels would be perfect as the princess.
