Grime takeover at the Big Weekend

The rebirth of grime has been one of the most exciting stories in British music in recent years - and it was well represented at the Big Weekend.

On Saturday, Stormzy tore up the INMWT stage with a set that ranged from his "WickedSkengMan" freestyles to hits like "Know Me From" and "Shut Up".

And the next day was Skepta Sunday, as Grimmy dubbed it.

Skepta's set was worth the excitement as he tore through hits such as "That's Not Me" and a fire version of "Shutdown" that found the crowd rapping along to every word.

Looks like he was pleased too!

And the crowd went wild when he brought out his Boy Better Know crew for the last song, "Man (Gang)".

It wasn't the first time the crew had played the Big Weekend. Skepta made his debut as a guest of DJs Ras and Seani B in 2010, and the whole crew played the Hackney Weekend in 2012 - #tbt to their performance here.

The Big Weekend has a strong history of grime artists on its line-up. The legend Dizzee Rascal first played it in 2007 - and catch highlights of his 2013 set here.
