The Great Scott TreadMills Challenge for Children in Need

Scott Mills walked, ran and danced for a whole 24 hours on a treadmill for ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Children in Need 2022.

During the 24 hour treadmill challenge, Scott was joined be a whole host of special guests to keep him energised and motivated, as well as fellow Radio 2 presenters who broadcasted their regular shows live from the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Theatre in London where it all took place - all to provide more support and encouragement as he raised funds for Children in Need.

Just a couple of weeks after the launch of Scott's new weekday afternoon show, The Great Scott TreadMills Challenge launched at 8.20am on Wednesday 16 November on ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 2, ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ iPlayer and ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Sounds.

Before embarking on the challenge, Scott said “As the newbie here at Radio 2, I just hope I can step up to this epic challenge for ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Children in Need." Scott says "I can’t let the side down for the station, especially after seeing the incredible feats of endurance in previous years by Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Joe Wicks and Rylan. To get in shape, I’m walking, doing lots and lots of walking!”

You can find all the details of how to donate via text or online elsewhere on this page. Money raised will go towards supporting children and young people across the UK facing a range of disadvantages.

Scott’s challenge follows in the footsteps of 2021's Sophie Ellis-Bextor's Kitchen Disco Danceathon which raised over £1 million for ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Children In Need, Joe Wicks' 24 Hour PE Challenge in 2020, and Rylan’s Ka-Ry-Oke Challenge in 2019. Also in 2020, Radio 2 also brought together some of the most iconic global artists for the official ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Children in Need single last year, a reimagined cover of Oasis’ Stop Crying Your Heart Out (ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 2 Allstars).
