Bradley Walsh hosts as a panel of six celebrities (including star of Silent Witness, Emelia Fox, comedian Jimmy Carr, boxing superstar Amir Khan, McFly’s Danny Jones, Queen of Countryfile Anita Rani and comedian Sue Perkins) do their absolute best to fill in the missing BLANKS and help win some brilliant prizes for some very lucky contestants. But will the celebrities turn out to be a huge help, or will they just end up being a massive BLANK?
The legendary Blankety Blank Cheque Book and Pen is also set to make a welcome return in what promises to be some perfectly cheeky family viewing this Christmas.
The Format
Round One
Our first pair of contestants each get the chance to fill in the missing BLANKS to two statements read out by Bradley. The player to match their answers with the most celebrities goes on to play The Supermatch Game for the chance to win some fantastic prizes.
They will return later in the show to take on the winner of Round 2 in a head-to-head game for the chance to win the star prize at the end of the show.
Round Two
Our second pair of contestants play the game to see who can match with the most celebrities as they each have two chances to fill in the missing BLANKS to some festive statements.
The winner goes on to play The Supermatch Game to try to win the top prize!
Round Three: The Head-to-Head
The winning players from the previous rounds go head-to-head as Bradley asks them once again to fill in the missing BLANK. The first player to match their answer with one of the six celebrities goes through to the final.
The Final
In the grand final the player has to choose just one of the celebrities to try and match with for the star prize. Bradley reads them a common phrase with a missing BLANK in it. The chosen celebrity secretly writes down what they think the missing BLANK should be.
The player then reveals their own answer, and if it matches with what the celebrity has written down, they will win the star prize!
The Blankety Blank Christmas Special will be on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One and iPlayer, Christmas Day at 7pm.
