Whale and dolphin sightings

Help the Seawatch Foundation by reporting any whale or dolphin sightings or strandings within our UK waters.

The Great Eggcase Hunt

Found any mermaids purses on your walk along our coastline? Then the shark trust would love to know where you have spotted them. This will provide vital information on the whereabouts of potential nursery grounds and will provide the Trust with a better understanding of species abundance and distribution.

The Basking Shark Project

The Basking Shark Project is a great way for shark enthusiasts of all ages to get involved with Basking Shark conservation. The Shark Trust runs both a and a which store valuable information about these charismatic species.

2 minute beach clean

The 2 minute beach clean, (set up by Martin Dorey) is a scheme that anybody can be involved in. Help clean up your local beach for 2 minutes and you will be saving the ocean from plastics and pollutants. Use to show us what you have been up to!

UK Strandings

In 1913, the Natural History Museum began to routinely collate information on UK stranded cetaceans (dolphin and whale) for the first time to create a UK report. If you find a stranded animal please use the information found in this leaflet to identify and report stranding across the UK. Caution: Some of the images found in this leaflet are graphic.

RSPCA animal rescue
