James Arthur lets us in on his first date secrets
Can James Arthur remember his old song lyrics?
Grimmy dug out some of James Arthur's oldest songs to see if he can remember the lyrics.
Whether you’re single or coupled up this Valentine’s Day, the art of dating is something that everyone would love to have down to a science, but it’s just so… complicated. Where do you go? Who pays? How do you actually ask them out in the first place?
We asked guest how he does it. Take note.
How he asks someone out
“I would normally ask if they would like to do something or if they’d like to spend some time with me. If it was someone I would see around on a day-to-day basis I’d ask them face-to-face, but if there was a bit of a distance I’d text or call them. I don’t really have it down to a science, I just see what happens.”
Where he’d take them for dinner
“I think most people like Italian food, so I’d probably do that, or if they like sushi I’d take them to an amazing sushi place.”
His first date food to avoid
“Garlic. That might get a bit smelly.”
His bill etiquette
“I’d offer to pay, but if the girl insisted on splitting the bill I’d fight her on it for a bit, then if it seemed like she was offended by it I’d let her split.”
Where he’d choose for drinks afterwards
“Maybe a jazz bar. Somewhere with live music. Nothing too loud, because you want to talk, but jazz bars are cool.”
What he’d cook for breakfast if it went veeeery well
“Eggs Benedict.”
