About Crossing Continents

Crossing Continents is Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 4's award-winning foreign affairs documentary series. We go behind the headlines to cover stories that are being talked about in homes and on street corners from Barcelona to Bolivia.

We aim to produce the best in original international journalism: engaging story-telling: a focus on the human dimension of the big international issues: and top-quality sound production that takes the listeners with us on journeys around the globe.

These are the cornerstones of Crossing Continents.

And the papers agree:

"One of the strengths of Crossing Continents is that it avoids issues in the abstract sense and instead tackles them in human terms, making them relevant wherever you happen to live," said The Times.

And The Guardian said: "One of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's most reliable current affairs programmes."

The programme has received Sony Radio Academy, Amnesty International, Association of International Broadcasters, One World and New York Festival Awards.

Crossing Continents is broadcast 28 times a year on Thursdays at 11.00am, and is repeated on Mondays at 8.30pm.
