Antoine Malick (Jimmy Akingbola) is a force to be reckoned with

A new day dawns at Holby City and a new alpha male, Antoine Malick, hits the corridors of the Acute Assessments Unit, as the medical drama continues.

Malick would argue that he's the gold standard of surgeons; however, having beaten up his boss on Day Care Surgical ward, AAU is now his last chance. He's dangerous, ambitious and rubs Michael and Penny up the wrong way, but sometimes on a violent ward you need a fellow doctor who's a force to be reckoned with.

Meanwhile, Donna and Kieran swan into work like love's young dream. Christmas was the best ever, but then Kieran gets a mystery call which threatens their happiness together. He has reasons for going away, but can Donna live with them?

Meanwhile, Chrissie faces a disciplinary hearing and the humiliation of it all makes her question whether to pack in Holby altogether. When Mark learns that her fate may be sealed anyway he turns to the dark side and uses his influence to save her job.

Antoine Malick is played by Jimmy Akingbola, Michael by Hari Dhillon, Penny by Emma Catherwood, Donna by Jaye Jacobs, Kieran by Barry Sloane, Chrissie by Tina Hobley and Mark by Robert Powell.

DANGEROUS PLEASURES SEASON
Sun, Sex And Suspicious Parents Ep 1/6

New series
Tuesday 4 January
9.00-10.00pm Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ THREE (Schedule update 23 December)

The Dangerous Pleasures Season follows young people's pursuit of pleasure, and the potentially darker consequences at the heart of extreme lifestyles. A range of documentaries from the perspective of young people explore subjects including the impact of drugs and alcohol on the body and the risks around unprotected sex

The season starts with Sun, Sex And Suspicious Parents, the ultimate rite of passage for the average teenager – the first ever summer holiday abroad without the parents. But what these teenagers couldn’t possibly have guessed is that while they enjoy their first taste of freedom, with all its temptations and excesses, they are being secretly watched. Their parents are observing their every move from behind the scenes. It’s an eye-opening experience, but will it bring them closer together or drive them further apart?

Also in the season How Drugs Work is a three-part series on the science of recreational drug use, revealing the chemical impact on the body of the most frequently used drugs – cocaine, cannabis and ecstasy. The impact of these drugs is revealed using state-of-the-art visual effects and CGI to take viewers on a trip through the human body.

Nel Hedayat investigates the controversial world of music videos and meets the girls who dream of starring in them in Music, Money And Hip Hop Honeys. In Is Oral Sex Safe? Jaime Winstone lifts the lid on a rare form of mouth cancer caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) which is sexually transmitted. And Emily Atack, (presenter and Inbetweeners actress) travels the length and breadth of the country looking into the UK's culture of drinking games in Ready Steady Drink.

Cannabis – What's The Harm? is presented by ex-EastEnders actor James Alexandrou. With access to the Avon and Somerset police force's drug squads and the Borders Agency, this two-part series looks at both the dealers and users and talks to the UK's top doctors and psychologists about the effects of cannabis. Laura Hall from Bromsgrove hit the headlines for being barred from buying or drinking alcohol anywhere in England and Wales. We follow Laura's journey over six months in Laura Hall – My Battle With Booze. She is adamant she wants to change and viewers witness her highs and lows in an attempt to get herself back on track.
