Turn Back Time – the chamber of commerce

Turn Back Time

Heading up the experiment is the Chamber of Commerce – experts Gregg Wallace, Juliet Gardiner and Tom Herbert. Drawing on both the detail of historic business practices and the impact of major historical world events, they'll set the challenges for each era and enforce accurate rules and regulations as the decades tick by.

Gregg Wallace

Writer, presenter and greengrocer Gregg Wallace is best known to audiences for co-presenting and judging the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's MasterChef, Celebrity MasterChef and MasterChef – The Professionals series.

A fruit and vegetable expert, Gregg established a highly successful greengrocery company in 1989 - a success story that led to seven years co-presenting Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 4's Veg Talk and becoming an original presenter on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One's Saturday Kitchen.

He is the author of several recipe books and has recently opened his first restaurant – celebrating the very best of seasonal produce.

Juliet Gardiner

Juliet Gardiner is a social historian who has worked as a historical consultant and advisor for both film and television.

Former editor of History Today magazine, Juliet is a respected commentator on British social history from Victorian times through to the Fifties.

A frequent broadcaster on both radio and television, her most recent books include The Thirties – An Intimate History and The Blitz – The British Under Attack.

Tom Herbert

Tom Herbert is a fifth generation baker who runs five High Street businesses of his own, and he's a former Young Baker of the Year, who is passionate about sharing his love of baking.

He most recently appeared on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Four's In Search Of The Perfect Loaf, travelling the length and breadth of the country exploring a wonderful world of bread.

As a highly respected and knowledgeable baker, Tom has judged baking events across the world and regularly gives bread-making talks and demonstrations from his family bakery business.
