The Slammer

The Slammer

The Slammer is back on CΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ ready to judge those found guilty of "crimes against entertainment".

Each week, under the watchful eye of the Governor (Ted Robbins) and Prison Officers Mr Burgess (Ian Kirkby) and the Governor's incompetent nephew Gimbert (Lee Barnett), four inmate acts are given the opportunity to perform in front of a specially invited audience of children.

After the β€œFreedom Show” it is the children who will decide (with a little help from Gimbert's Clap-o-meter) which act deserves to be released from HMP The Slammer, back into society.

This series also features an act from Solitary Confinement, whose original crime was judged too heinous for them to be allowed to interact with the other inmates. They are now given a chance to perform their unique act and an individual child is given the ultimate decision to either grant them a "cell upgrade" or send them back to solitary confinement, for a cruel and unusual punishment.

Horrible Histories

Horrible Histories Christmas Special

Christmas is a time for charity, hope, and goodwill to all men ... or if it's the Horrible Histories Christmas Special it's a time for farting jesters, Christmas cards full of bacon, and having the festive meal confiscated by Oliver Cromwell.

This one-off Christmas Special from the hugely popular show dives headlong into showcasing bizarre Yuletide absurdities over the centuries with the programme's unique blend of sketches, pastiches and song.

Find out how William the Conqueror was crowned on Christmas Day 1066, but when the congregation cheered his soldiers thought it was a riot and burned down Westminster Abbey.

Gasp at the tale of King Henry II's famous medieval jester, Roland the Farter, the man whose sole job was to fart on Christmas Day.

And learn how Victorian Christmas cards could be really weird. Some included a slice of bacon, an extracted tooth, a luggage label or even a dead mouse.

Horrible Histories Christmas Special reveals all this and more in a foul festive treat – the smelliest, silliest, goriest stories about everyone's favourite time of year.

Game Over

Pixelface

Set in the imagined world inside a games console, Pixelface is a brand new sitcom for CΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ from the makers of Bafta-nominated Sorry I've Got No Head.

Employing CGI graphics and a sharp wit, the 26-part show follows the on- and off-screen lives of a group of computer game characters, each from a different genre ranging from a questing elf and a zombie battling waitress to a marsupial hybrid and Kiki, who never stops dancing.

Starring David Armand, Anna Crilly, Will Andrew, Karen David, Simon Day and Hannah Job, Game Over shows the characters waiting to play their game and reacting when their console is invaded by the likes of an evil bug or a Premiership football team.

On the CΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ website, viewers can find the same characters starring in an arcade suite of six compelling games, with corresponding graphics and sound bites from the show.
