Opera at the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Proms

Opera fans can enjoy the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Proms on Radio 3, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Four, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Two, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ HD and on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ iPlayer.

Bryn Terfel performs the role of Hans Sachs in Wagner's The Mastersingers Of Nuremberg with the Orchestra and Chorus of Welsh National Opera on Saturday 17 July (Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Four at 7pm and live at 4pm on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 3).

The following day, Sunday 18 July, PlΓ΅cido Domingo performs the title role in Verdi's Simon Boccanegra (live at 6pm on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 3).

Sir Simon Rattle conducts the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment in Act 2 of Tristan And Isolde on 1 August (live at 6.30pm on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 3).

Robin Ticciati makes his debut at the Proms with Humperdinck's HΓ¤nsel And Gretel on 31 August in the production from this year's Glyndebourne Festival starring Alice Coote and Lydia Teuscher as the siblings lost in the wood (live at 7pm on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 3).

The Last Night of the Proms on 11 September will unite the nation by encouraging audiences across the UK to join the largest-ever operatic chorus.

Dame Kiri Te Kanawa will be performing with the winner of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 2 Kiri Prize at Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Proms in the Park in Hyde Park, while soprano RenΓ©e Fleming leads festivities in the Royal Albert Hall.

The Last Night of the Proms is broadcast live on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 3, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Two (first half) and Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Four (second half). Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Proms in the Park from Hyde Park is live at 7.30pm on Radio 2.
