For the first time in Eurovision history, phone lines will be open from the start of the first song and end 15 minutes after the last country has performed.

Viewers cannot vote for their own country. (The UK are 12th in the line-up, out of the 25 countries taking part in the final).

The scores given by each country are calculated with 50 per cent made up of viewers televoting and 50 per cent by a national jury of music professionals.

Once the televoting results and the jury results are combined, points are given out in the usual way – 12 points to the most popular, 10 to the second most popular, then 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 point.

Spokespersons in all 39 countries will reveal the combined results.

The country with the highest number of points wins the 55th Eurovision Song Contest.

Semi-Final Voting
