Zak: Lead Singer

Zak is the lead singer of ZingZillas and the emotional heart of the band. Energetic, lovable and a natural showman, he enjoys the limelight and gets a thrill out of performing every Big Zing. In life and music, he loves to take an idea and run with it although he doesn’t necessarily always think things through first!

As a musician, Zak is more instinctive than the other band members, responding to certain types of music or sounds in a really emotional way – be it sad or happy. The only actual instrument he can play is the harmonica which he generally saves for soulful moments. Although he's happy to jump behind the keyboards when Panzee occasionally takes lead vocals.

Panzee: Bass and Keyboards

Panzee is the creative heart of the band. She’s the team's driving force and comes up with most of the ideas for things they can do or play. Bubbly and enthusiastic, she enjoys fixing problems, bringing people together and sorting things out, often coming up with fantastical schemes and ideas.

She is an accomplished musician and will occasionally sing lead vocals but she's also the self-appointed stylist of the band. She likes to accessorise her outfits and is fascinated with themes and looks that music creates. All bands need a practical organiser and she is the one.

Tang: Lead Guitar

Tang is the musical heart of the band. First and foremost he is a wonderful musician – the kind who can pick up any instrument and get some sort of sound out of it! He is also very laid back and likes to mull over ideas, often while he's lying in the sun, in his hammock strumming his guitar.

But he can still surprise the others with a nugget of wisdom, a genius idea or even a burst of creative energy! Tang can be quirky and often eccentric but he’s also the coolest member of the band!

Drum: Drummer and Percussionist

Drum is the rhythmic heart of the band. For her, rhythm is all. Drum doesn't speak much – she prefers to communicate through rhythm. Hyperactive and full of energy she's like an impish, cheeky little sister. She is a lively spirit but always finds her focus and enthusiasm when she's behind the drums.

Drum has a favourite toy – a soft and squidgy stuffed pineapple called 'Yapple'. She rarely goes anywhere without it but regularly loses it too.
