A celebration of all that is mucky, Dirtgirlworld is full of bizarre insects, underground tunnels, vaudevillian-trained chickens and performing stunt bugs. It鈥檚 a place where children learn to appreciate the outdoors and protect what they love.

At the centre of it all, donning her wellies and getting her fingernails dirty, is Dirtgirl. Helping out in her backyard are best friend Scrapboy, a demon recycler who鈥檚 a whiz with junk; Grubby with her grub鈥檚 eye view; Ken the Weevil, a super stunt star with an inferiority complex; Roger the Rooster and the Chicks; Hayman the monosyllabic scarecrow and The Green Thumbs 鈥 real kids in real gardens having unreal fun.

Filled with exciting contemporary music and covering environmental matters close to children鈥檚 hearts, Dirtgirlworld invites viewers to step outside and have a go and teaches them that caring for nature can be second nature.

When Grandpa puts his cap on, he becomes small enough to fit into Jason鈥檚 pocket and embarks on the sort of adventures that children can only dream about.

I Can Cook

I Can Cook serves up another selection of specially-tailored recipes and top cookery tips for children under six-years-old.

Each day presenter Katy Ashworth welcomes five children into the I Can Cook kitchen to create a recipe of the day.

The children also take a trip to the I Can Cook garden where they will learn how key ingredients are grown in order to create the mouth watering dishes.

From the pasture to the plate, children learn to connect the food they eat every day with the world around them 鈥 and get a little bit messy along the way.

All the recipes from the series are available to print out as factsheets from .

Children can also play the I Can Cook interactive game, helping them develop their cookery skills in the virtual space before transferring them to the real world.

In each episode, Let鈥檚 Celebrate visits a different community to join in the fun and excitement of their celebrations, meeting a family or group of children who are getting ready for a festival by dressing up, decorating the house, preparing food or exchanging gifts.

Festivals featured include: Vaisakhi, Eid al-Futr, Holi, Wesak, Purim, Diwali, Easter, St Patrick鈥檚 Day, St David鈥檚 Day, St George鈥檚 Day, St Andrew鈥檚 Day, Norouz, Chinese New Year, Carnival and Christmas.

Specially created for four- to six-year-olds, the programmes also showcase a musical or dramatic performance telling the story behind the festival before returning to the children and their families in full celebratory mode.

Children鈥檚 performer and presenter Patrick Lynch (Razzle Dazzle) introduces the festivals from his 鈥減arty house鈥, which literally tingles with excitement 鈥 this house and the street outside can鈥檛 wait to celebrate. Each show ends with a call for viewers at home to join the celebrations as a street party explodes into life.

Penelope K, By The Way is a brand-new locally-programmed series, from the creator of the hugely successful, Upside Down Show.

Penelope K runs the Information Station, a place which contains all the answers to any question a child might have. While she knows that she once knew the answer to the question when asked, it invariably vapourises like a dream when she tries to think of it.

Fortunately, she has various companions to help her out. None of them can completely answer the question but all of them have a fact or two that will help her towards an answer.

Whether it is her companion Squirm, a sock puppet occasionally on her right hand, a floating band of instruments, Hank and Frank 鈥 two wisecracking fish, or Trewey, a shadow rabbit able to illustrate stories by instantly transforming into different characters 鈥 all of them provide lots of information, only a small portion of which is correct.

When the child returns to get the answer to her question, Penelope K has a jumble of facts. In every episode the child helps the confuddled Penelope K to sort out the facts and discover the answer. Each episode is a comic journey of realisation with the core idea that being wrong is just the first step to being right.

A funny and imaginative live action series, Penelope K is sure to be adored by pre-schoolers and parents alike.

In each episode, Nisha and her furry trio visit a nursery or a group of children and delve into the Same Smile suitcase to reveal the theme for the day. This might be a favourite place, a favourite food, a favourite garden or a family activity.

While Nisha and one of the pandas stays with the group to play games and undertake creative activities, the other pandas go home with two of the children, who introduce them to their worlds and explore their own versions of the day鈥檚 theme.

Taking a unique look at children鈥檚 lives, this series shows that, while we may have different lives, we all have the Same Smile.

A harmonious land of happiness, laughter and friendship, Nara is home to the loving, caring and inquisitive Piplings.

Yojojo is mischievous and loves surprises; Lau Lau is creative and thrives when she鈥檚 dancing or painting; Nok Tok is practical and inventive and happiest when he鈥檚 making things and De Li is thoughtful, caring and loves gardening.

The Piplings practice Yogo, a gentle form of exercise. The movements are often inspired by things that the Piplings see in Nara such as birds, trees and narabugs.

When Piplings experience pure happiness they achieve Buloo and rise gently into the air.

In this new series, children continue to visit Nara; to play with the Piplings and explore their world, reconnecting with some of their favourite Nara animals, birds and insects.

In Waybuloo, real life interacts with the animated world, showing that every child can visit Nara and find a path to happiness.

On their island paradise, primate friends Zak, Tang, Panzee and Drum live to play fantastic music. Zingzillas is a musical feast introducing new sounds, instruments and musical ideas into the lives of young children, inspiring them to listen to and create music for themselves.

With the help of DJ Loose, their mentor and music guru, Zak, Tang, Panzee and Drum create their unique ZingZilla sound in time for their daily performance, The Big Zing.

In each episode different musical guests, ranging from saxophonists or bottleneck guitarists to a full concert orchestra, visit the island. The series embraces musical genres from around the world. The ZingZillas take inspiration from their guests and invite them to join The Big Zing.

As the band strut their funky stuff on screen, viewers can tune in to CBeebies radio to sing along to the Big Zings or log on to bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/zingzillas to join in the fun including a complementary set of toe-tapping, finger-clicking activities and games.
