Pauline Quirke stars in new drama and Missing Live returns to Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Daytime – Louise Minchin

Louise Minchin is one of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's top journalists and presenters. As a news anchor, she regularly presents Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Breakfast on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One, and the One O'clock news, and has a regular slot on the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ News Channel.

Louise says: "I can't wait to do Missing Live again as it's not often TV makes such a real difference to people's lives. Last year with the help of our viewers we found people who were missing and helped bring some families back together, and I am hoping we can do the same and more this year. I am incredibly proud to be part of such a ground-breaking programme."

During her career as a news presenter Louise has covered the major news stories of the last decade and also presents on location. And over the last few years Louise has anchored the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's coverage of major news stories including the 7/7 bombings, and she presented Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One's Ten O'clock news on the day Saddam Hussein was executed.

Louise trained as a journalist at the London College of Printing. She has a degree in Spanish from the University of St Andrews and spent a year living and working in Latin America as part of her degree.

Louise started her career at the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ as a production assistant with the World Service, and the Today programme. After her journalism degree she went on to spend five years presenting on 5 Live, on Sport on Five, Drive and Breakfast, and then moved to the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ News Channel. Louise also presented the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Sunday Life with Colin Jackson.

In 2007 she made a documentary, Darcey's Swansong, about the retirement of Britain's most famous ballerina, broadcast on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ World and Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ News.

Louise has played herself as a news presenter in TV dramas Spooks and Silent Witness.
