This year the fundraising theme is Do Something Different and all those who step up to the challenge, or pick up the phone to pledge money for the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Children in Need Appeal, will be part of a huge community of supporters that make a huge difference to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in the UK.

A fundraising pack with posters, stickers and sponsor forms, advice and information on how to raise money for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Children in Need, can be downloaded at or requested on 0845 607 3333 (calls will be charged at up to 5p per minute at all times. From dressing up, to dressing down, to baking, walking or being silent, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Children in Need wants to hear about people Doing Something Different. There's an event form on the Let Us Know section of the fundraising page and Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Children in Need fundraisers will have their very own internet-based radio station when Radio Pudsey launches on Monday 5 November.

Recycle for Pudsey

The One Show (Mon-Fri, 7pm, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One) is asking viewers to send in old mobile handsets to raise funds for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Children in Need and encourage recycling. Look out for blue or red envelopes with Pudsey on the front, which will be inserted into local newspapers or magazines, or send old mobile phones to FREEPOST Fonebak.

Fonebak will donate Β£5 to Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Children in Need for every reusable mobile received and the rest will be sent for recycling to ensure that nothing ends up in landfill.

bmibaby cabin crew will be collecting loose change and foreign currency onboard flights while staff at Welcome Break's Corley Services are launching a 12-month Spend A Penny ... Spare A Penny campaign which invites customers using the service station toilets to donate to Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Children in Need.

Pudsey has once again joined forces with eBay.co.uk and people can support Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Children in Need by selling an item and donating some of the proceeds to charity (anything between 10-100%), or buying an item marked as supporting the charity.

Auction items including Pudsey bears – signed by Orlando Bloom, the Spice Girls and David Tennant – and a pair of Rio Ferdinand's football boots will be listed from Sunday 4 November. Keep an eye on for more details.
