Radio 1 announces amended Ibiza 2007 schedule

Â鶹ԼÅÄ Radio 1's Pete Tong and Chris Moyles announced that the station will slightly amend the schedule for the network's Ibiza Weekend this weekend as part of the station's Six Weeks Of Summer schedule.

Pete Tong officially starts the massive Ibiza Weekend once more with a studio show from Café Mambo with two hours of classic tunes that have helped define Ibiza. Pete will be followed by Annie Mac live from Café Mambo's studio with a full round up of Ibiza 2007 in her mash up style.

On Saturday, Radio 1 will broadcast with a live audience from Café Mambo's terrace all afternoon with Vernon Kay and the Radio 1 All Stars, Zane Lowe, Pete Tong, Annie Mac and Judge Jules.

Vernon will then be joined for a DJ soundclash with Pete Tong. The DJs will battle it out tune for tune before Pete flies solo for the last two hours with some very special surprise guests and the hottest new tunes from Ibiza this summer.

Other highlights include the five-hour Essential Mix from Radio 1 and Cream @ Amnesia on Saturday night with Eddie Halliwell, Sasha, Steve Angello, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso.

Radio 1 will also add new Ibiza content on the Sunday, Dave Pearce will bring a special edition of his show live from Café Mambo's studio featuring PAs and his DJ set recorded from Gatecrasher at Eden the week before.

Judge Jules then rounds up the Ibiza Weekend with a very special two-hour DJ set live on-air from Judgement Sundays at Eden.

Jason Carter, Editor of Radio 1 Live Events, said: "Radio 1 has been working closely with the San Antonio local authority and we have revised our plans following recommendations from them. There will be a slight change to the originally announced schedule, it's going to be a huge weekend and we look forward to returning to the White Isle this weekend."
