Emilia Fox

Ìý

In Born Equal, Emilia plays the pregnant wife, Laura, of Colin Firth's character, Mark.

Ìý

Emilia first appeared on TV screens in the Â鶹ԼÅÄ classic Pride and Prejudice. She played Darcy's younger sister Georgina in the phenomenally successful drama.

Ìý

Emilia also starred in Stephen Poliakoff's Shooting the Past and alongside Richard E Grant in The Scarlet Pimpernell.

Ìý

In 2002 she starred in the critically acclaimed film The Pianist. Director Roman Polanski won an Oscar for the World War II tale of survival in the Holocaust.

Ìý

Emilia's most recent appearance is as archaeo-pathologist Dr Nikki Alexander in Â鶹ԼÅÄ drama Silent Witness.

Ìý

Emilia is currently working on Fallen Angel which also stars Charles Dance.

Nikki Amuka-Bird

Ìý

In Born Equal, Nikki plays the role of Itshe, the wife of David Oyelowo's character, Yemi, who have both fled their native Nigeria with their young daughter.

Ìý

Nikki has recently appeared in Spooks, The Line of Beauty and, again with David Oyelowo – playing his girlfriend – in the critically-acclaimed Shoot the Messenger.

Ìý

She played Dr Becker in the 2006 film The Omen directed by John Moore.

Ìý

Nikki can currently be seen in Â鶹ԼÅÄ One drama series, Robin Hood, as the Abbess of Kirkless.

Julia Davis

In this film, Julia plays the role of Sally who works for a homeless charity. She explains to Colin Firth's character about the work she does and he joins her in the evenings as she travels around London trying to assist homeless people.

Julia came to acclaim with Â鶹ԼÅÄ Three's Nighty Night, which she wrote and starred in.

Ìý

She has appeared in several films including Confetti, Love Actually and Woody Allen's Match Point which also starred Scarlett Johansson.

She often works and appears with Steve Coogan.

Ìý

Julia is currently working on Â鶹ԼÅÄ drama Persuasion and this autumn appeared on our screens as Fanny Craddock in Fear of Fanny on Â鶹ԼÅÄ Four.

Nichola Burley

Ìý

Born Equal is Nichola's second feature film. In it, she plays the role of Zoe who has run away from home because of her abusive stepfather. Colin Firth's character tries to help and befriend her, but she misinterprets his actions.

Ìý

Nichola has worked with Dominic Savage before, playing Michelle in his previous film Love and Hate.

Ìý

She has also appeared in Shameless, and Drop Dead Gorgeous and is soon to appear in Channel 4 series, Goldplated.

Megan Dodds

Ìý

Megan plays the role of Anastasia, a wealthy American who employs Itshe as her cleaner.

Ìý

She has many film, TV and theatre credits to her name including Love In A Cold Climate, Spooks, The Contract and This Is How It Goes at the renowned Donmar Warehouse.

Emily Woof

Ìý

Emily plays the character, Rita, who used to work with the mother of Robert Carlyle's character, Robert, and must break some sad news to him.

Ìý

Emily featured alongside Mark Gatiss and Steve Pemberton in The League of Gentlemen's Apocalypse.

Ìý

Other roles include Mandy in the hugely successful film The Full Monty and Alice in This Year's Love starring Kathy Burke.

Pearce Quigley

Ìý

In Born Equal, Pearce plays the role of a beggar who comes into contact with Colin Firth's character, Mark.

Ìý

Pearce has worked extensively in theatre and television. He has toured with The Royal Shakespeare Company and recently appeared in the acclaimed stage production of Journey's End.

Ìý

Pearce also stars in Â鶹ԼÅÄ drama Cutting It alongside Sarah Parish and Riot at the Rite.

Nicholas Burns

Nicholas plays the role of Michael, a wealthy friend of Colin Firth's character.

Nicholas is a veteran of Open Air Shakespeare in Regent's Park.

Recent television roles include Nick Mayer in Absolute Power.

Nicholas appeared as Christopher in Fear of Fanny on Â鶹ԼÅÄ Four this autumn.
