Sir Terry Wogan to host gala charity performance of award-winning musical

Sir Terry Wogan and Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 2 are to host a Gala Charity performance of Wicked, the award-winning Broadway smash hit musical that flies into the Apollo Victoria theatre, London next month.

The special performance takes place on Wednesday 4 October and will raise money for the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Children In Need charity.

Sir Terry says: "This is a wonderful and welcome gesture by the producers and cast of Wicked on behalf of Children In Need.

A small number of special tickets are available at Β£150, which include a pre-show reception with champagne, a premium seat in the stalls or circle and a hot buffet supper after the show hosted by Terry and other Radio 2 presenters at a West End hotel.

Also available are Β£75 tickets, which entitle you to a premium seat in the stalls or circle plus a complimentary glass of champagne.

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Children in Need helps disadvantaged children and young people in the UK including those who experience homelessness, neglect, abuse and poverty as well as those with disabilities, terminal illness and addiction.

Wicked, a Broadway smash-hit musical, tells the untold story of the legendary witches from L Frank Baum's classic The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Wicked opens at London's Apollo Victoria Theatre on Wednesday 27 September, with previews from Thursday 7 September.

Long before Dorothy drops in, two other girls meet in the land of Oz. One, born with emerald-green skin, is smart, feisty and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very, very popular.
