From Monday 4 July to Friday 8 July at 3.00am, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 1's acclaimed OneClick shows are African themed.

Each morning has a different OneClick show, and all are African themed shows: Record, which will have three DJs showcasing essential tracks (Monday); Magazine, hosted by Miquita Oliver, with a lifestyle-oriented show (Tuesday); Open, with guest presenters from music, sport and popular culture (Wednesday); Film, with Radio 1's film critic James King (Thursday); and a mix of music and comedy (Friday).

Tuesday 5, Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 July at 11.00pm: Tonight, Ras Kwame takes the reigns from his fellow OneMusic presenters Huw Stevens (Tuesday) and Rob da Bank (Thursday) to host all three OneMusic shows this week - all live from the Ghanaian capital of Accra.

RasΜύwill co-host all three shows with UK hip hop rising star Sway Da Safo. Both return toΜύtheir native Ghana with some celebratedΜύGhanaianΜύartists to launch OneMusic's African Connection competition, which offers Radio 1 listeners the opportunity to collaborate with some of the best African musicians.

Four winning entrants undergo three days of workshops at WOMEX (World Music Expo) in Newcastle in October, culminating in the recording of three tracks with professional musicians and guaranteed airplay on Radio 1.

During the three shows, Ras and Sway will be looking at Ghana's High Life and Hip Life music scenes.

High Life is the traditional music that started in the Twenties and has morphed into a new genre called Hip Life, which fuses a hip hop flavour to the native sound.

Ras and Sway will explore their connection with Ghana and Sway will be reunited with one of his Ghanaian hip hop friends.

We will also hear from artists of Ghanaian descent from the UK, including Dizzee Rascal, Rhian Benson, Skibadee and Lethal B, who will discuss the influence that their home country has had on their music.

Ras will also set Sway a challenge to find a local Hip Life artist and invite them to collaborate on a track.

DJ Edu, 1Xtra's host of its Destination Africa show, hosts a special edition of OneWorld on Monday 25 July.

Recorded live in Edu's homeland of Kenya, with invited local musicians, the show promises live music and atmosphere from Nairobi.
