This documentary follows six celebrities on a journey to Africa and across the UK as they pair up on three 48-hour challenges to transform people's lives forever.

Jo Brand and Ruby Wax take on a women's refuge in the UK and turn an overgrown garden into somewhere for kids of victims of domestic violence to play.

Meanwhile, Kevin Whately and Jimmy Nail visit Sierra Leone where they work with a local project building forges to melt down old weaponry, turning them into agricultural tools for the community.

Liza Tarbuck and Nick Knowles have 3,500 bricks to build a new clinic for an HIV/Aids home based care project in Zambia funded by Comic Relief.

This year Comic Relief is launching a campaign to raise awareness of the issue of elder abuse in the UK.

Elder abuse is the mistreatment or neglect of an older person perpetrated by someone that they trust.

It is one of the most serious social problems facing the UK today and yet one of the least acknowledged.

It is estimated that one in 10 elderly people in the UK will suffer from some form of abuse.

For the first time in its history Comic Relief has used drama over documentary to convey the emotive and serious messages behind its grant work.

The drama Dad tells the story of Larry, played by Richard Briers, a cheery independent man in his eighties, who has been caring single-handedly for his beloved wife Jean, played by Jean Heywood, who has Alzheimer's Disease.

Following an accident Larry goes to live with his son, Oliver, played by Kevin Whately, and his wife Sandy, played by Sinead Cusack.
