Football

Euro 2004 begins on 12 June with the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Match Of The Day team making the trip to Portugal for live coverage of the Championship.

The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ is showing 12 matches, live, from the group stages, including England's final group game against Croatia and a potential quarter-final clash with Portugal or Spain.

With 16 teams all competing for the trophy and teams of the calibre of France, Spain, England, Portugal and Germany all hungry for success, Euro 2004 is sure to be a showcase for some of the world's most exciting football.

August 2004 heralds the start of the new football season and the return of Premiership highlights to Match Of The Day on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ ONE.

Gary Lineker and Alan Hansen are joined by a range of top guests to review all the action from the Premiership.

Football's greatest domestic knock-out tournament reaches its climax on 22 May with the FA Cup Final, to be played at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.

Last year's final saw Arsenal overcome Southampton thanks to a Robert Pires goal and the London club lifting the prestigious trophy for the second successive season.

Gary Lineker is joined by Alan Hansen and special guests to present live coverage.

Wimbledon

Live coverage of Wimbledon (21 June-4 July), the most famous tennis tournament in the world, is presented by Sue Barker from the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's studio at the All England Lawn Tennis Club.

Sue presents the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's coverage with expert commentators including John McEnroe, Pat Cash, John Lloyd, Virginia Wade and John Barrett.

The new studio contains an analysis area where commentators take an in-depth look at how the world's top players are performing on grass this year.

Hawk-Eye technology is used by the commentary team for the second year running, and digital viewers can look forward to using the interactive channel to choose live coverage from a number of courts.

Today At Wimbledon, presented by John Inverdale, shows highlights of the day's play and provides analysis of the news and results from studio guests.

FA Cup Final

Match Of The Day has live coverage of the FA Cup Final - the climax of the most famous domestic football trophy in the world.

Gary Lineker presents all the action with expert analysis and insight from the top team that includes Alan Hansen and Mark Lawrenson. Commentators include John Motson.

Sport Relief

Sport Relief returns in July, culminating in a huge night of sporting fun on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ ONE on 10 July, involving some of the biggest names in sport.

A joint project between Comic Relief and Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Sport, Sport Relief aims to harness the power, passion and goodness of sport to help change the world.

In 2002 Sport Relief raised an impressive Β£14.4m - with even the Prime Minister Tony Blair getting involved in a special tennis match with Pat Cash to support the cause.

2004 is shaping up to "go the extra mile"!

Athens 2004 Olympic and Paralympic Games

The first modern Olympic Games were held in Athens and for more than a century have been on a journey around the world.

Now, at the dawn of the third millennium, the Games are returning to the country of their birth.

Athens 2004 Olympic and Paralympic Games form the world's biggest sporting event (Olympics 13-29 August; Paralympics 17-28 September) and are broadcast exclusively on the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ.

The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ, as Britain's 2004 Olympic and Paralympic broadcaster, has exclusive coverage of the event across television, radio and online throughout the competition, which features 10,000 athletes competing in 37 disciplines.

The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's coverage captures all the big events such as athletics, gymnastics and swimming, as well as the minority sports which often provide those magical moments which define an Olympic Games.

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Sport's team of expert analysts, including Michael Johnson and Colin Jackson, join presenter Sue Barker in Athens to guide viewers through this global celebration of sporting passion and drama.

And 2004 also marks the first ever interactive Olympic and Paralympic Games from the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ.

Digital viewers can navigate their own route through the events and choose, from five different screens, whether to watch the boxing, judo or weightlifting, for example, whilst having simultaneous access to all the latest news.
