Meabh Mallon
Meabh Mallon

My name is Meabh Mallon. I am 23 years old and am from Maghera. I graduated with a 2.1 in Creative and Performing Arts at Liverpool Hope University in July. Currently I am a part time drama and music tutor. I love to write poetry although most of them end up as songs as I like to sing and play the piano.

Coming Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ by Meabh Mallon

It breaks my heart to leave my home,
The longing is greater as time goes by,
The buzz of the city isn’t me,
The traffic is heavy and the air is thick.

I love the fields with the grass so green,
I love the air so clear and clean,
I love the rain falling heavy on my face,
The smells so familiar, I long to inhale.

I’m coming home, for to stay away,
I would fade into the city and become a stranger,
I’m coming home,
My home is my first love,
My one and only.
