    Prince Harry has wanted a child "for a long while", says veteran photographer Arthur Edwards, who's been chronicling Prince Harry's life since he was born.

    "He's lived next to his brother William, and Catherine, with their children and he's been a great uncle to them but now he's got his own son, I mean, he'll just be, he'll be so excited," Mr Edwards says.

    Tony Appleton is known for his unofficial announcements of royal births. He was seen outside St Mary's hospital in Paddington following the births of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

    Toronto Mayor John Tory has congratulated the Royal couple on the birth of their son.

    "Great to hear mom and baby boy are doing well and we look forward to the family’s next visit to Toronto," he said on Twitter.

    The Duchess of Sussex lived in the Canadian city for several years while working on the US TV series Suits.

    Prince Harry and Meghan also made their first public appearance together there during the Invictus Games in 2017.

  12. Royal fans 'erupt' as crowds gather in Windsorpublished at 15:43 British Summer Time 6 May 2019

    Crowds have begun to gather near Windsor Castle this afternoon.

    The duke and duchess's home, Frogmore Cottage, is in the grounds of the Berkshire estate, west of London.

    Â鶹ԼÅÄ royal correspondent Nicholas Witchell says it is likely Meghan did give birth at home.

    Helena Wilkinson reports from outside the castle: "Windsor is getting very busy.

    "There was a group of people just a few minutes ago - on hearing that the baby had been born - erupted in applause. Just a bit further from where we are a lot of people are now gathering.

    "There's a corner, not too far away from me just off the main street, where a lot of the royal fans tend to gather.

    "Over the past couple of days somebody, rather prematurely, put a couple of banners up there: one of them saying 'congratulations on the birth of your baby girl', the other 'congratulations on the birth of your baby boy'."
