A chef has pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving after a taxi driver was killed in a crash.

Christopher Boyle, 57, died on 2 September on the A4139 between Tenby and Penally in Pembrokeshire.

Mateusz Sikorski, 30, appeared at Swansea Crown Court to confirm his name and guilty plea.

The court heard that Sikorski had been visiting the UK from Poland, and was staying with friends.

James Hartson, defending, told the court that the 30-year-old was employed as a chef and had been in Wales seeking work.

Judge Catherine Richards ordered a pre-sentence report and granted Mateusz Sikorski bail until 8 November.

In a previous statement Mr Boyle’s family said he "was a much-loved son, dad, brother, uncle and friend.

"Known as Mucker to his friends, he was very involved in the community and would do anything to help anyone."
