The new 135 bus

From the Island to the City

From Saturday, a new bus route in East London will take passengers from the Isle of Dogs to Old Street and Liverpool Street stations via Canary Wharf.

The 135 will run as a fleet of 13 double decker buses every 10 minutes during peak times and every 15 minutes off-peak.

The new route starts from Old Street and goes onto Great Eastern Street, Bishopsgate, Liverpool Street, Aldgate, Commercial Road, Canary Wharf, Westferry Road and East Ferry Road to Crossharbour.

More buses

Also from Saturday the D7 route which runs from All Saints to Mile End via the Isle of Dogs will have an increased frequency of every eight minutes during peak, and every 15 minutes during the evenings and on Sundays.

The new bus services will be an alternative for commuters to the city to the DLR and Underground which already serve the area.

Route 135 between Crossharbour and Old Street starts on Saturday 24th May.
