He's been in post since 2004, watching every twist and turn ofΜύ Ken Livingstone's second term as mayor, and ultimately his demise.

He revealed the fact that Livingstone had three teenage children by previous relationships, prompting his response that Londoners weren't likely to be shocked by anything "as long as it doesn't involve children, animals or vegetables."

Tim also broke the story of Livingstone's secret visit to Cuba, which kicked off an enquiry into international travel at the Greater London Authority.

More recently, he exposed the lies of a senior aide to the mayor over an undeclared trip to Nigeria, which led to her resignation, and reported extensively on the controversy over the mayor's race adviser Lee Jasper.

Tim has presented the London Politics Show since its start five years ago - with a specail interest in the issues of education, housing and regeneration.

He's got four children and lives in south west London.
