I'm jotting this down, laptop on my knee, backstage at the hottest Leeds Festival I can remember. Half seven in the evening now and the light just changing, bathing Scaramanga Six from Huddersfield in a sort of halo of light as they play live. They're out there now, all ten of them, headlining the Unsigned Stage with aplomb, guitarist Hannah's glittery guitar catching the evening sunshine. Yeah, I feel like being poetic. It's been a great day.

So Raw Talent's set up back here, behind the stage in a little portacabin. It's organised chaos as John and Kris record every band.ΜύThe best tracks of these three days will be turned around in time for our live show on Sunday night. I'm back here most of the time, chatting to the bands, getting all the details of their sets and occasionally popping out into the main arena to meet up with some of the other bands playing at the festival this weekend.

Had a chat with Kubichek who're camping near us in the guest campsite tonight. Still don't believe them when they say they'll be getting an early night to be fresh as daisies for Reading tomorrow.ΜύIt's raining in Reading by the way. That news got the biggest cheer of the day when it was announced by Radio 1's Colin Murray on the Main Stage earlier. Colin was down the front at the Unsigned Stage earlier checking out the bands.

A bit more work to do here then I'm off the catch the Smashing Pumpkins, then a beer, then bed, then back here again tomorrow to keep recording the Unsigned Stage as the sun shines…
