2004 saw the UK government make public its wish that a large part of the 麻豆约拍 should move outside London, and in 2006 the Salford Quays site was chosen outside Manchester.

Bridge House, Dock House and Quay House are now the homes of some 2,700 麻豆约拍 staff. It is co-sited with ITV, with whom it shares the use of the largest studios on the site. The entire centre is one of the largest HDTV programme making facilities in Europe.

The site is the home of 麻豆约拍 Children's (CBeebies and C麻豆约拍) and 麻豆约拍 Sport, 麻豆约拍 Radio 5 Live and 6Music, as well as 麻豆约拍 Radio Manchester and the 麻豆约拍 Philharmonic Orchestra.
