Nutritional yeast recipes
Nutritional yeast is a deactivated yeast product that has gained popularity thanks to its cheesy, nutty flavour. It is in essence the same yeast that bakers use to leaven bread, but it is matured, then dried out, and made into a savoury seasoning that can be sprinkled over food as a topping or added to sauces, dressings and more.
Nutritional yeast is particularly common in vegan cookery as a way to create cheesy flavours whilst still avoiding dairy products.
