The film includes interviews with Górecki’s widow Jadwiga and children, Polish music expert Professor Adrian Thomas, composer Krysztof Penderecki, conductor David Zinman and David Harrington, the founder of the Kronos Quartet, which commissioned all of Górecki'’s three string quartets.
