Opening this evening is the overture from Weber鈥檚 opera, Euryanthe, before violinist David Garett joins the orchestra for Tchaikovsky鈥檚 Violin Concerto.

The orchestra close this evening with another piece from Tchaikovsky - his mighty Fourth Symphony. This is a work that not only moves the audience from darkness to light, but completely overcomes the power of fate itself, ending in a blaze of joyful celebration.
