The Â鶹ԼÅÄ Philharmonic celebrates the 80th Birthday of composer and conductor Carl Davis, with a recording of Radio 3's Sound of Cinema, presented by Matthew Sweet.
Carl will discuss his career in film and television with Matthew and conduct some of his best loved scores including his music for "The World At War", "The Far Pavilions", "Pride and Prejudice", "Cranbrook", "The French Lieutenant's Woman", "Scandal"; and from his many silent film soundtracks as well.
