The Â鶹ԼÅÄ Philharmonic, always at home in Hanley’s Victoria Hall, performs a programme of three classics of the orchestral repertoire this evening. The concert opens with the Third Symphony of Johannes Brahms, loved for its rich and warm melodies. The orchestra is then joined by Â鶹ԼÅÄ New Generation Artist Elena Urioste, who performs one of the most demanding of all violin concertos, Beethoven’s ever-popular masterpiece. And to end, we hear Rimsky-Korsakov’s sparkling homage to Spain, his Capriccio Espagnol.
