Jonathan Cohen directs a concert of early vocal music inspired by the works of Shakespeare, who died 400 years ago this year. The programme includes music by Purcell, Blow, Locke and Draghi.

About This Event

From one of London窶冱 biggest auditoria to one of its smallest 窶� the Proms moves east for a celebration of Restoration theatre music at the intimate jewel-box that is the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse at Shakespeare窶冱 Globe on London窶冱 Bankside.

This performance offers a chance to get up close with leading performers and Jonathan Cohen窶冱 crack Baroque ensemble, Arcangelo, which makes its Proms debut in works by Purcell, Blow, Locke and Draghi 窶� including music for Shakespeare窶冱 The Tempest.
