This summer we are offering the young people you work with the fantastic opportunity to attend free-of-charge workshops and masterclasses with high-profile artists featured in the 2015 Â鶹ԼÅÄ Proms season. Produced in association with Royal Albert Hall Education & Outreach, the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Proms Sessions aim to develop the skills and confidence of aspiring young musicians.
This is a fantastic opportunity to observe world-class musician Colin Currie coaching four aspiring young percussionists in a masterclass setting. There will also be an opportunity to ask Colin questions and hear him perform in the intimate setting of the Elgar Room. This event is open to percussionists aged 12 to 18.
As well as wanting young people to sit in the audience and take part in the Q&A session, we are also looking for four percussionists to perform solo works who have reached Grade 6-8 or equivalent and would be confident performing on their own in the masterclass in front of the audience.
