Concert Information

The Â鶹ԼÅÄ Singers and Chief Conductor Sofi Jeannin present a concert of Russian choral music, focusing on works by Tchaikovsky and Stravinsky. 60 years ago, Stravinsky completed the missing voice parts to Gesualdo's Tres sacrae cantiones. The result is a fascinating fusion of the work of both composers, and is paired with three movements from Gesualdo's Sacrarum cantionum alongside simple warmth of Tchaikovsky’s anthems for the Russian Orthodox Church.

Join us for a short concert before the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Symphony Orchestra concert’s performance of music by Stravinsky and Shostakovich in the Barbican Hall at 7.30pm.
