Concert Information
Distinguished Polish conductor and Górecki specialist Antoni Wit makes his debut with the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Symphony Orchestra in this special celebratory concert, which features the UK premiere of the late composer’s Kyrie (2005), with the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Symphony Chorus, and Mahan Esfahani as the soloist in the Harpsichord Concerto. In this unusual work the harpsichord lends ferocious dynamism to its granitic textures in contrast to the monumental stillness of the Symphony No. 2 'Copernican’, for which we welcome Neal Davies, Marie Arnet and, again, the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Symphony Chorus.
